Smart, innovative, and growing
What if we told you that you could be part of a world-leading and growing software company? And not only that, but you could also play a key role in our future growth and technologies? Well, we hope you’d be very interested - this role will be based in either fabulous Welly or Palmerston North, a region which is fast becoming a key tech hub.
At Author-it (ASC) we provide an innovative cloud-based content development platform that lets businesses create, use and share content and critical documentation from anywhere in the world, and right now, with offices in Wellington, Palmerston North, Seattle and Amsterdam, we’re ready to grow again.
Exciting times are ahead, and you’ll be part of them.
As we spread the reach of our platforms here in NZ, we need the best people behind the scenes, making sure our products are better than ever. That’s where you come in. We need a skilled systems engineer to not only work to automate existing manual processes, but also be a natural with finding how tech can improve the ways things are done.
You’ll have responsibility for L2 service desk support troubleshooting incidents to support our customers – so your communication skills are clear and your EQ is high. You’ll be doing the technical on-boarding of new customers through to monitoring test application performances for potential bottlenecks and suggesting alternative system elements that may be more cost effective – all while considering the ability of the software to grow as users save data to it.
As part of an on-call rotation you’ll have great focus which enables you to develop and deploy software efficiently with accuracy as well as continue with the BAU maintenance of existing infrastructure including O/S patching, AV updates…
Bring your people skills
This role is all about your drive to solve problems, troubleshoot and searching for those solutions, but you’ll also be someone your team can count on to bring a cheerful outlook, who understands teamwork – and that a good team do their best work together.
That said, of course, you will bring some solid hands-on experience managing an AWS environment, and you’ll be either experienced, or familiar, with basic SQL querying skills, Windows and Linux admin and scripting, network management like subnets, routing and VPC/VPN management as well as O365 and AzureAD administration. Knowledge of task management software like Zendesk and Jira would be a bonus.
Be supported to grow
Our sights are set on creating the next generation of cloud-based SaaS for Life Sciences and improving our Author-it product. It’s quite a big goal, and that’s why we need the right people on board. With offices across the globe, generous packages and a range of other benefits, your future here is as good as it gets.
We’re ready to grow. Are you?
