Manufacturing Engineer with Pacific Helmets

If you’re an experienced engineer in manufacturing and processes, this is your chance to design production procedures for an industry-leader.

Time for a change? The chance to put your skills to work and influence process and production for a high-energy company that’s topping their market? It’s time to join us at Pacific Helmets.

Leaders of our field, we design and manufacture top quality premium safety helmets for the Australasian market, and right now, we’re looking for a skilled Engineer to join our fold. If you have a solid background in manufacturing and a real drive to deliver nothing but the best, this is your chance to be a key player in an end-to-end production business. Keen?

Your new role

This is a meaty role with lots of responsibility. As a engineer with several years in manufacturing behind you, you’ll be our task master when it comes to production efficiency. Always with an eye on the bottom line, we’re looking for someone with the confidence and skillset to see that manufacturing is carried out in the most cost and time effective ways, while also making sure we retain our commitment to quality, and product certifications are met.

Let’s really break it down. As much a thinker as you are a doer, you’ll work out the most optimal manufacturing process down to its every individual step, laying out production lines, workstations and choosing all machinery and tools required, then developing work instructions to empower the process at every stage. If you enjoy a role that gives you autonomous control over how production runs, with all the satisfaction of seeing manufacturing through from start to finish, you’ll thrive.

Let’s talk about you

It probably goes without saying you’ll come to us armed with a BTech or BE in Manufacturing or a similar technical field, as well as a good amount of experience applying engineering principles and techniques. We’re always innovating, which means new products are a constant and changes to procedures are implemented all the time, so your ability to keep a cool head and make adjustments on the fly (plus some good experience with ERP systems) will be vital! If you’re no stranger to a fast paced environment where quick thinking is a must and no two days are the same, you’ll fit right in. You’ll already be across all the production machinery, assembly tools and processes, and will be a capable communicator, engaging with people from all walks and talks with ease. Plus you’re a wiz on all the relevant software, from Solid Works to MS word and Excel.

The good stuff

It’s time you got to know how good it feels to be among the makers of the world’s superior emergency services head protection – our fast paced operation means there’s never a shortage of quick wins, and you’ll build on your expertise in a new exciting niche. You’ll be bringing out the very best of your skills and having a real influence over the way we do things. And if all that wasn’t enough, you’ll join a warm, tight-knit team that feels more like a family, and be supported by leadership who truly cares. If you’ve got ideas, they’ll always be heard. What’s more, you’ll benefit from a generous incentive scheme (bonuses!), get group income protection, and if you’re looking from further afield, we’d love to help you relocate to Whanganui – we know you’re going to love it here! If this is the new challenge you’re ready for, it’s time we talked.

This role is being managed by HainesAttract – all applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
