The Role:

As a GIS consultant at Morphum's Geospatial Services Team in Auckland, you'll be an integral part of a dynamic and supportive group of geospatial professionals. This role involves working on nationally significant projects that bring real change to the landscapes of Aotearoa and Australia.

You will:

- Collaborate with internal and external clients, advocating the benefits of GIS and creating GIS/FME solutions across various project stages.

- Develop and implement FME workbenches for automating GIS analysis routines and data management tasks.

- Use cartographical design within ArcGIS Pro, Online, and Enterprise to visually communicate stories through data, empowering our clients and communities.

- Dive into data analytics, aiding decision-making processes by interpreting and analyzing data effectively.

- Innovate spatial solutions for engineering and science projects, designing tools and methodologies for efficient field data capture.

- Contribute to the maintenance and management of our data systems, implementing FME and GIS best practices for quality assurance and control.

About you:

You're a problem-solver with a passion for sustainability and environmental outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess:

- Environmental Values: Strong commitment to environmental principles and sustainability.

- Experience: 6 or more years of professional GIS/FME experience, showcasing proficiency in the Esri Technology stack and Safe software FME.

- Technical Competency: Demonstrated expertise in ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS mobile apps, FME Desktop, and FME Server.

- Creative Thinking: Ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions for GIS-related challenges.

- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and meticulousness in work.

- Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication, coupled with excellent teamwork abilities.

- Desirable Skills: Experience with Model Builder and/or Python within GIS.
