Our client is one of New Zealand’s fastest growing professional building and property consultancy companies, offering a wide range of specialist services for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional property owners. Their multidisciplinary team of around 100 employees work in offices in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.

This role will complement the Environmental Services team based in the Auckland office. No two days are the same in this role; you might be working on asbestos management surveys one day and be responsible for scopes of work for asbestos abatement the next. You’ll also conduct asbestos surveys on refurbishment and demolition projects and review contractors’ method statements and asbestos removal control plans.

You’ll need to have an in-depth understanding of asbestos management and removal with at least intermediate-level experience. You’ll need one or more of these BOHS qualifications: P401, P402, P403, P404, P405 and P408 or equivalent; a degree in Occupational Hygiene Science would also be a bonus. You’ll also need a Worksafe NZ Asbestos Assessor Licence.
