We are a multi-disciplinary consultancy specialising in planning, surveying, and engineering, working on projects that help shape thriving communities across the Waikato and beyond. We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Hamilton office. This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects, guide and mentor junior engineers, and work alongside a supportive and highly skilled team that values professionalism, collaboration, and making a difference for clients and communities.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading engineering projects from design through to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, to budget, and to the highest standards.

• Managing client relationships and providing clear, practical advice.

• Preparing engineering designs, reports, and contract documentation, and liaising with councils and contractors.

• Overseeing construction monitoring, contract administration, and site observation.

• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers and technicians, contributing to their professional growth.

• Playing a key role in complex land development and infrastructure projects, working closely with planners, surveyors, and other professionals.

What we’re looking for

• A degree in Civil Engineering (Washington Accord or equivalent) or relevant qualification.

• Significant experience in land development and/or civil infrastructure projects.

• Strong technical design and project management skills.

• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or working towards it.

• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – with the ability to lead clients and colleagues confidently.

• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to mentor others and contribute to a culture of excellence.
